The bride always gets her way. After an argument that questioned the future of Bridezillas couple Shannon Sarich and Patrick McGowan during the WE tv show's March 16 premiere, the reality star's fiancé gave her the proposal of her dreams.
WE tv dropped a new clip Friday that previewed a special moment between Sarich, 32, and McGowan, 37, after a spat the pair faced toward the previous episode's end. McGowan escorted the stiletto-wearing Bad Girls Club alum up a mountain to pop the question to her a second time with a sparkling diamond ring.
"I don't feel like I've ever been that great of a romantic guy to you. I don't know if I'll ever be that person. But I'm willing to try," McGowan said. "Shannon, you mean everything to me. I want to be the man that you dreamed about….Will you marry me?"
Sarich replied, "Yes, I'll marry you." She then said "I love you" to McGowan as she began to sob.
While McGowan's re-proposal rectifies the couple's previous disagreement, it also makes up for the way he initially asked Sarich for her hand in marriage. "When I first proposed to Shannon…I didn't get her a ring," he said in a confessional.
"It was basically 'Hey, I love you and know you love me. I don't want to get my knees dirty,'" McGowan continued. "That's probably what I should've did, is get down on one knee and been a little bit more romantic."
The Bridezillas Season 12 premiere saw Sarich and McGowan engage in a dispute over the bride-to-be's $7,000 wedding dress and how blew the budget of the overall ceremony by $2000.
McGowan called one of Sarich's bridesmaid's while she was trying on her gown for the big day. Since the call was on speaker, Sarich overheard McGowan question "how much" the dress cost. An unamused Sarich immediately proceeded to yell from across the room, saying: "This is my wedding! This is my wedding day! Do you love me or not? Do you want to marry me or not? I need to know right now because I love my dress."
While this Bridezillas couples may have their ups and downs, Sarich confirmed to Newsweek that they married and intend to open the Cajun Corner Restaurant and Bar together in Anchorage, Alaska.
"Patrick's proposal was amazing," Sarich said in the WE tv series' preview clip. "I needed to remember why I fell in love with him. Patrick is nothing like any other man that I had been with. He blows them out of the water."
As Sarich and McGowan return Friday to share their wild journey to the altar, cousins Dani and Clara battle head-to-head to see who will have the best wedding in their small town of Glencoe, Minnesota.
Bridezillas airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on WE tv.
