FORMER light heavyweight contender Yusaf Mack is unusual among US sportsmen in that he admits being gay.

But it seems the 35-year-old did not come out of his own accord - rather he appears to have been outed amid a gay porno scandal.

Who is Yusaf Mack?

He is best known for his boxing - and more recently his “fight” for gay equality.

Despite fathering ten children, the 37-year-old from Philadelphia has realised he is also homosexual.

But the gay stereotype is at odds with his previous macho image as a hard-as-nails boxer.

After fighting several world champions - losing to British world champion Carl Froch in 2012 - he retired in 2015.

Having hung up his gloves, he then starred in a gay porn film.

How did Mack come out?

According to media reports, when the porn film emerged on a website, Mack denied willingly taking part in the threesome in the adult video.

In fact he is reported as saying he had been drugged and had no memory of having sex with the two men in the adult video.

But after the gay website DawgPoundUSA.com, who posted the footage on their gay porn subscription website, hit back at the “patently false and preposterous claims” and threatened to sue.

Following this Yusaf reportedly apoligised for lying and admitted he was bisexual.

"I'm gay. I'm tired of holding it in, it is what it is. I live my life. I'm gay," Mack told WTXF.

"It was all a lie to try to cover myself up."

How did Yasaf Mack end up having a fight with his Twitter troll?

Yusaf Mack made headlines around the world after being filmed beating tormentor Hector Echevarria in front of a group of stunned onlookers in a Philadelphia hair salon.

Mack was reportedly targeted online by Echevarria who hurled homophobic slurs at him via Twitter.

Echevarria has continued to taunt the boxer online following the beating.

He posted: “’I rather have a video of some beating me up then a video of someone seeing me take a d*** up my a** any day,” reports TMZ.

The keyboard bigot has also insisted that he would like to fight the professional boxer – who has fought for world titles at various weight classes.

He said: “Me and him gonna fight again,” reports TMZ.
